Each year, the 21st of November is observed as the ‘Armed Forces Day’ in Bangladesh in a befitting manner. On this day in 1971, during our great Liberation War, the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force launched joint operations along with the people of Bangladesh against the Pakistan occupation forces leading to the ultimate victory on 16 December 1971. Due to the unprecedented COVID 19 pandemic this year, the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh is celebrating the day virtually. This video is in tribute to Armed Forces Day 2020. The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations and all members of the Permanent Mission extend warmest greetings to the valiant members of our armed forces on this special occasion.
